AugmenTest

ProblemAutomatically generated unit tests usually assert whatever the code does today, so they cannot tell a bug from intended behaviour: the test oracle problem.

Generates test assertions with large language models from a method's documentation and comments, without reading its implementation. Evaluated at ICST 2025 against TOGA and released as a tool in Science of Computer Programming.

EvoOracle

ProblemCan LLMs act as test oracles for tests generated by EvoSuite?

A pipeline with a preprocessor, an LLM oracle generator and a validation module that turns EvoSuite tests into prompts and checks the assertions the models return. Five LLMs were compared on 146 test methods from four projects.

Caproni Collection image analysis

ProblemMore than 200,000 digitised images of the Caproni Collection needed sorting by theme, and the original glass plates needed a condition assessment.

An AI application that classifies the images by theme and detects damage on the photographic plates, built for the Province of Trento's cultural-heritage unit.

RFID school attendance system

Automated school attendance with UHF RFID readers managed remotely from Raspberry Pi devices, streaming readings to a central datastore.
